Update!

Well, I went back to the ortho on Friday. They finally removed my spring! Who hooo!!! AND they were able to put my final tooth on the arch wire. I am very excited! Now, I bet we will have significant movement!

Next Adjustment Tomorrow

So, most people are able to tell which adjustment they are on. I have NO CLUE! This is mostly because I have been going in every 3 weeks so my ortho can watch the one tooth that is protruding out. Anyway, I go tomorrow for another adjustment. I'm so excited! I am really hoping that they will put my final bracket on my lower teeth and also put on a new wire!

Oh, I forgot to mention that two weeks ago I went to my regular dentist for a check up and to get my teeth cleaned. He couldn't believe how great my teeth looked! I have very little build-up so that is good!

I'm just so amazed by this process!! What's really cool is I used to cover my mouth a lot to hide my deep overbite....now that overbite is GONE. It feels weird when I put my hand up to my mouth now because my teeth used to really jet out...not now! Oh happy day!!

Still trying to decide on lig colors....hmmmm.....I want to go with something fun.....something bright...more pics tomorrow!!!

OUCH!!!

Okay, I am like 6 months into treatment and NOW I am in pain for the first time since spacers! This lower tooth that is really protruding is a REAL bear! Seriously, I wanted to yank it out earlier. I'm dowing Ibuprofen every few hours. Not fun. But, at least I know there is movement happening so that is good!

I went back to the orthodontist on Friday. I have to go every three weeks right now so he can keep a close eye on one of my teeth. I'm still praying that he won't have to pull it. It has been pretty stubborn in its movement. Hopefully, it will bounce into line with everything else. Anyway, no new wires this time....just new ligs.....all hot pink! Fun!

Lowers Braced

Wow! What an event!!! So, I went to get my second set of molar bands today and my lower arch braced. It was quite the process...as I figured it would be. They got all the brackets put on and when they went to put the wire on a bracket popped off. Ugh. Oh well, it will be fixed in about 3 weeks. Anyway, can you say pain? Oh man....I have had it easy up until now!!! I got a thicker wire on my top arch. My lower arch is pretty much a mess so I knew it was going to be painful. My lower teeth are VERY sore. I'm praying that my #5 tooth (the one that jets out a lot) can be saved. My ortho is worried that as he tries to move it....it may create more gum recession. So, I have to go back every 3 weeks so he can monitor things. Oh well, at least I get to change colors every 3 weeks!! :-) That is exciting! :-) I hope to post a pic in a bit.

Spacers Again

So, last Saturday I got my second round of spacers put in. Ugh! They hurt really bad the first night. Oh! Then, within one hour of having them put in I had already swallowed one! Can you believe it!!!!!! Sheesh!!! Anyway, I go this Friday to have my lower brackets put on! I can't wait! I'm one step closer to being done! Whooo hooo!!!

Amazing What 3 Months Can Bring...

Hi! Just a quick update. It's been 3 months since I was braced! Things continue to go well and I am finally seeing some major progress! Two weeks until my next adjustment and until I get my bottoms on!
